This stencil can be used with common paints or joint compound for raised effects. This pine tree stencil set includes the base trunk, repeatable trunk, side branch, little occasional branch and the pine cone mold to create as many pine cones as you want.
It's EASY! Plaster the base on the lower portion of the wall, plaster the repeatable trunk up to within about 2 feet of where you wish the top of your tree to end. (You can make it as tall as you wish!) Now, plaster side branches and small branches as you see fit.
Add the pine needle sprigs here and there on branches as you see in the photo. Using the plaster pine cone mold, cast any number of pine cones using plaster of paris. Once they are dry, prime or paint them with 1/2 white glue and 1/2 water to seal the porous plaster then paint with craft paints. I used dark brown, brushed a lighter brown over the top then added hints of gold metallic paint for some glam!
Tint joint compound the same color as your pine cone then spread it on the back of each pine cone (about 1/8th" thick) as your adhesive then hold to the wall for 30 seconds. Wha La! It's there for good!
Do you want just lovely pine branches over doorways or windows? Easy! Just do the same steps with just the side branches and pine mold.
All of the stencils you need are included in this set: (Each stencil is a single stencil) Trunk Base: 13 1/2" by 5" Repeatable trunk: 18 1/2" x 3" Side Branch: 19" x 4 1/2" Small Branch: 8" x 2" Pine Needle Sprig: 5" x 5 1/2" Pine Cone Plaster Mold: 3" tall by 2" wide (Use with plaster of paris to create pine cones) Comes with easy instructions
Raised designs are EASY with our beautiful stencils!
Use common joint compound (also called Wall Mud). It comes pre-mixed for you in a bucket and is available in the paint section of most home and hardware stores and acts just like frosting.
Just get some on a small trowel or putty knife and spread evenly over the top of the stencil, lift the stencil and there's the design! It's a cinch and a total ball! Now just let it dry.
Either paint the color of your wall as a simple raised design or paint with craft or stencil paints.
Joint compound can be pre-tinted if you choose or Color washes can also be done with wall glaze.
Plaster Stencils can also be used with wood putty for raw furniture, venetian plasters, tile grout, portland cement or any other product that dries hard.
Stencil is laser cut of 14 mil, heavy mylar and comes with complete instructions and full color photo of the finished design. You're going to LOVE it!
