Vintage Austria map with list of campsites printed 1956 by Platzer-Seufert of Vienna
The large fold-out map has campsite information on the reverse and a map of Austria on the front. There is a slight tear to front cover of large map, which does not damage the map itself.
I assume the smaller version is for a quick overview, maybe for the navigator to refer to?
On the smaller map the wording reads: Herausgeber: Osterreichische Fremdenverkehrswerbung. Wien. Mit Unterstutzung des Bundesministeriums fur Handel und Wiederaufbau - PRINTED IN AUSTRIA - for the Austrian Federal Government by Feridnand Kleinmayr, Klagenfurt. (With backing from the Federal Government for trade and reconstruction).
Fun for the antiquarian map-lover, fans of Austria or 1950s graphic design - or even intrepid souls going camping in Austria this year? They would look lovely on display. Or perhaps re-purposed in a craft project?
This little pairing has been stored in my parents' attic for years. They are in pretty good condition overall, the paper possibly faded/ yellowed with age.
