Weldon's Leaflet No 286 - Billy Bear Knitting pattern (- not the item already made). 1940's knitting pattern in PDF format.
'Billy Bear is sure to win the heart of every small child and he is so easy to make'
Made from 4 ply and a pair of No 12 knitting needles. Billy's height when sitting is 10 inches and 14 and a half inches when standing. His arms and legs are attached with elastic to make them adjustable.
He is knitted in shaped sections of garter stitch and stuffed with Kapok - pattern also suggests rags but it was wartime when the pattern was first issued! As with any vintage knitting pattern you will need to work a tension square first with your chosen yarn to ensure success.
The original pattern is in Black and White so your PDF will also be the same, however the text has been slightly enlarged from the original and your copy will be clean and clear, easy to read.
Sale is for a PDF knitting pattern which has been formatted to print on A4 size. You will need Adobe Acrobat to open this file which you can get free from www.adobe.com. Download the file and then print off at home.
Please feel free to make and sell items using this pattern, however sharing or selling my restored version of this classic vintage pattern is not allowed.
