Learn how to make this freeform Art Nouveau style beaded wire brooch, Dragonfly in the Garden, featuring a dragonfly with iridescent colored resin wings. The tutorial includes extensive instruction on how to create the dragonflies, how to apply the resin, and how to color them to give the wings a translucent stained glass effect. (And for those who don't want to go through all of the steps to create the dragonflies, I will have premade dragonflies available soon.) The tutorial also includes instructions on how to make the simple spring mechanism. Because this is a freeform design, measurements are not exact, as in some tutorials, but the instructions do include measurements that allow for some personal variation yet are still precise enough for the completion of the design. The tutorial also includes a couple of "Progress Check" photos to help you see that you have completed the steps correctly up to that point.
LEVEL: Intermediate (Some experience with wire is helpful, but a determined beginner should be able to complete this tutorial.)
