This is an original vintage Children's Book Week poster from 1960 with an illustration by Maurice Sendak. This is a very rare Sendak poster!
These were sent to libraries by the CBW initiative to encourage kids to read. Each year they enlisted a different illustrator to design the poster and they still do to this day.
This is a great retro piece of paper ephemera and would look great on the wall. A perfect gift for lovers of books, illustration, or the librarian or book seller in your family!
It's 17 x 22 inches.
It's in good shape for its age. The colors have held up well and paper isn't brittle. It has small staple holes on all four corners. There are creases from where it was folded to be shipped, all of these posters will have the same.
WE DON'T SHIP FURNITURE. If you fall in love with a piece of furniture and can't pick it up but absolutely must have it, contact us and maybe we can negotiate a deal. Otherwise I use the USPS. I generally ship priority, wrap and pack thoroughly, and include insurance. I charge a slight bit more than USPS rates to cover packaging and supplies. If you have any special shipping requests let me know as soon as you purchase an item.
