This friendly crocodile is a trustworthy friend who is easy to grip by small hands and very cuddly too.
I designed this crocodile early on in my crafting career, so it is quite easy (and fun) to make.
Cast on; garter stitch; knit 2 stitches together; add a stitch at the end of the row; cast off, blanket stitch.
- About 50g (1.8oz) organic color grown Pakucho cotton yarn, 3 strand, used 2 ply for extra thickness. I recommend a double knit wool yarn or relatively thick cotton yarn. Use the size of needles appropriate for the yarn used.
- A small amount of white and black yarn for the eyes and teeth, as well as some yellow yarn for the scales
- Darning needle for sewing the project together
- Wool roving for stuffing
The crocodile is knitted in 6 pieces that you will need to sew together. I have included some images to help you along the way.
10 inch/25cm long (size may vary slightly according to yarn thickness).
