These wooden textile bobbins have been well used by the textile mills from which they came. They are 8 3/4" long and 1" wide at the top and have three metal rings around the head which held them in place and connected them to the machines that wound the threads upon them. Some of them still have a little thread on them as well. Rhoda Island was a huge textile producer back in the 1920's through 1940's. Threads from these bobbins where weaved into fabric on huge machines
They make wonderful crock fillers, decorations for your sewing room or use them as spindals for your creative primitive arts. Your imagination is the limit here.
They come to you as a set of 3 bobbins in their natural state
