K is for Kite Large 1960s Flash Card with Blue Felt Letters

This listing is brought to you by the letter K. Perfect for the door of a child with a name like Kayla Kevin of Kle, or a great motivational piece for the desk area to remember that it might be a good day to "Go Fly a Kite".

This card is large! 8" x 11", these were made in 1963 were part of the 'touch and learn' approach, because the blue letters on the right are felt, so you could touch them, which is supposed to help the mind remember. This card has a few smudges and stains, and some pin marks from where it must have been hung on a wall, but no tears.

I think this would be excellent framed and displayed in a children's room, or kitchen. Or it would be great used in card making, scrap booking or for a mix media project. There is a wonderful air of retro appeal here that can't be denied.

This piece will arrive in an envelope, plastic wrapped to cardboard to assure it arrives in the same condition that it was sent.

As always, your shipping charge will be what the post office prints on the stamp for first class. If I quoted high, even on multi-item purchases, I will refund you the difference back to your PayPal account. If I quoted low- you've got a deal!

Your item will be shipped within 7 days. I recycle all of my shipping boxes and even some envelopes, as well as 97% of the packing material. Since it is Seattle, I often use Starbuck's boxes, and because I have a commercial bakery in my home, you might see a chocolate box or two. If you have concerns with my reusing these boxes, please communicate it, and I am sure I can find another source for your purchase.
I ship USPS, generally parcel post. I estimate the postal charge when I list an item. If I charged you too little, lucky you! I will pay the rest. If I charged more than Parcel Post fees, I will opt for faster delivery if the amount covers that price. Any amount over will be refunded back to you if you paid by PayPal. Even if it's two cents. It's just what I do.

I always get orders sent out within 7 days. It is usually 2-3 days.
Insurance is only used on larger, or more breakable items, and it is mentioned in those specific items. If you wish to have insurance, mention it in the buyer's notes. Often , the price can be covered with the amount you paid in shipping. If it is more, I can always send you a bill via PayPal.
After I have sent off the package, I will send you a note to confirm.

Lastly, if you wake up one morning and realize, "I just spent the rent on Etsy", and wish to cancel the sale, contact me, and everything will be all right.

Things happen, and it's all apart of doing business.

Returns & exchanges

I want you to be as excited when you open the box as the moment you purchased it. If it isn't what you were thinking, contact me and I will make sure you end this transaction satisfied. If the item arrives broken, I might ask you to present me with a photo of the damage, but then return the cost of the item and shipping for that item.
At 2950 sales, I have had 3 items lost in the mail. If you have waited what you feel is a reasonable time, please contact me, and I'll go through my tracking to see if there is anything I can do.
