I've been thinking a lot about owls since seeing one a couple times in my yard, and finally decided to bring my thoughts to life with some doodles to make these little owl stitch markers. Several months ago we started hearing a couple owls hooting very early in the mornings and on our evening strolls. One evening we saw one way up in one of our trees - so cool, just a silhouette against the moonlit sky. A few days later, I caught a photo of one looking for a mid-day snack in my back yard -that's him in the last picture. I haven't seen him since, guess he's camera shy...
These stitch markers are very lightweight and slip easily from needle to needle, up to US 8/ 5.0 mm., the size they are hanging on in the first picture. The set includes 4 similar and one slightly different marker to signify the start of a row, though yours may actually be from another set. If you'd like a set to fit larger needles, or possibly a larger set for a big project, just convo me.
The markers will arrive safely mounted on a card. I've put them on a bulb safety pin so they don't get separated in your knitting bag. You can pin them right onto your project, use the pin as a removable stitch marker, etc. These markers have been treated with a water resistant sealer, but are not water-proof, so please refrain from knitting with these in the bubble bath, hot tub, etc.
I'm now offering a little gift bag and card option for my stitch markers. Choose your bag, and I'll select a coordinating tag for you. If you'd like me to write a short note for you, just leave me a note at checkout. If you're not interested in the gift bag, simply select the "stitch markers only" option.
