Item details

This pattern is a modern adaptation of a pattern first published in Pricilla Tatting Book No. 2: A Collection of Beautiful and Useful Patterns with Directions for Working, published by The Pricilla Publishing Company 1915. It can be found reprinted in the Dover Needlework Series Tatting Patterns, by Julia E. Sanders, 1977. It features both diagrammes and written instructions for the pansies and various uses.
This adaptation is the intellectual property of Karen Bickerton. Feel free to sell or give away all items made from this pattern; however, please do not sell or reproduce the pattern itself without reference to the author.
The sample pictures are for a purple “monkey face” pansy. The monkey face is most interesting of the pansies, visually, and shows up well in tatting. It does come in a number of different colours, so you can please yourself when it comes to colour combinations. See various examples of the colours possible by either googling pansy pictures or looking at expamples of finished pansies in KB Design Originals.
