Found in North Carolina on the Atlantic coast and can occasionally be seen growing on sand dunes along the beach. This cute little cactus bears pretty nicely formed Canary Yellow flowers in Spring. The stem segments are more cylindrical than the flattened pads of the eastern prickly pear Opuntia Humifusa, other common names include Sand Bur prickly pear, Little Prickly Pear, and creeping cactus, also known as Opuntia Drummondi. Another perfect choice for small spaces, containers, or on the front row of a cacti or rock garden.
This offer is for 1 healthy, mature, easy to grow, unrooted pad. This pad is from my own private garden. I am only selling a few this season. Don’t miss the opportunity to add this one to your collection, free planting instructions and very informative bonus cacti fact sheet included. Please don't forget to check out my other hardy cactus listings.
