Gold SilverF This silk was made in 1920 in Japan. Each skein is comprised of 3,330 feet of a single continuous strand of silk which was hand wrapped in 24k gold. It was largely used on wedding kimonos and other kimonos and obis for special occasions. It has not been made since the other kimonos and obis for special occasions. It has not been made since the 1920's. Despite its great age, the silk is solid and can be used without fear of fragility. It was most recently used on a quilt that took top honors and a local oregon show. There are several shades ranging from a deep, rich gold to a paler champagne tone. There are a limited number of skeins available and once they are gone, there will be no more, they are beyond rare. Get them while you can.
