Item details

Due to a change in suppliers for my colorants, I will be updating my formula to make use of the new colorants. Until now, I have been using my existing supplies of my previous supplier's colorant to keep making these with the same ingredients, but I am running out of those colorants. The updated versions will be released in the new bottles, the old formulas will not be sold in those bottles. This listing is for the older, un-updated version of Phoenix Fire.

Phoenix Fire is a holographic polish with subtle color shift. It is a warm-toned purple linear holographic with the same color shifting shimmer that is in my other Phoenix polishes (Phoenix, Phoenix Song, and Phoenix Feathers). In this holographic polish, the bright holo rainbow outshines the color shift, but it still adds a subtle duochrome element to the polish. It's lovely, and my pictures don't do it justice. It is opaque with two or three coats, but can also be layered to preserve the polish. In the nail wheel swatches, Phoenix Fire is the shade on the left, and it is three coats alone (no base or top coat).

The wonderful Lauren of Dizzy Nails was kind enough to review this polish. The first picture is hers. Her photos are fabulous and capture the polish much better than mine. Please go see her review here: http://www.dizzynails.com/2012/08/starlight-and-sparkles-mythological.html

The last picture shows what the 15mL and 5mL bottles will look like.

This polish contains "unicorn pee" pigment. The red to green color shifting pigment in the Phoenix polishes is the same kind of pigment that's in the original elusive unicorn pee polishes (Clarins 230, Liquid Euphoria Bliss, etc).

Phoenix Fire is a custom polish, made from scratch with nail lacquer base, pigments, color shifting pigment, and SpectraFlair. Starlight Polish is 5 free, meaning free of DBP, toluene, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, and camphor, and contains no carmine or other animal-derived pigments.
