The chaya plant has wonderfully tasty leaves,Better than spinach- more nutrients- and grows well in poys indoors with sunlight.. These plants can be used inside your home as a decorative - and edible!- plant, or in southern states as a very useful easy care garden vegetable.
The plant I have is now 10 feet tall and appears to have none of the usual pests. This is probably because of the oxalates in the leaves- ( boil all leaves in adequate water before cooking in a recipe to remove oxalates). A bonus for gardeners in the South!!!
To use the highly nutritious leaves, simply collect a bunch, remove stems, boil in water 15 minutes, discard the water, then chop with sharp knife. We freeze and cook chaya leaves because they are so much more vitamin-rich than regular spinach, so we add it to soups and stews.A wonderful resource for your own diet and a great gift for friends and relatives. And pureed chaya leaves can be frozen in an ice cube tray and the chaya cubes added to soups and stews and smoothies etc etc.....
Thank you! Very fast shipping. Great packing. Just as described. Strong rooted cutting. Planted and waiting to grow!

Emeritus Holdings has been brilliant to work with. I live in a colder climate, and they were very reassuring that if I had any issues with shipping that they'd address them. I would recommend taking a look at the Chaya and Malabar spinach - the plants came in looking great, and I'm excited to add to my edible collection.
