"I do recollect when a lady did not think it necessary to wear a bushel measure on her haed . . . when a face was suficiently pretty without the foil of a coal scuttle, or when a chimney-pot with a sweep’s brush sticking out at the top of it was not thought the most gracefull of all models." A Fashion Writer, 1815 *** From Timely Tresses: A charming cloth bonnet pattern from Timely Tresses, the Mariah pattern features a 12 page illustrated instruction booklet and 4 brim lines for creating a 1805-1810 Regency era bonnet. *** This bonnet can be made to replicate the extreme poke bonnet styles seen in the period fashion plate included.
