It takes us about 2 to 5 business days to make our smaller items (ie: most books, wallets, flasks, etc), and 1-2 weeks to make our bags (every item here is made to order).

How does this work?

We offer free shipping on all items within the United States. This means we will ship your item one of two ways, either USPS first class or USPS media mail. This shipping usually takes 3-5 business days after the item leaves our studio (sometimes sooner, occasionally a day or two longer). This comes with limited tracking, and tracking will be sent the second the item heads out of the door. Keep in mind, with free shipping, we cannot guarantee the delivery date, and cannot refund a package if it takes a little longer in the mail. If you really need it quickly, please click that shipping upgrade at checkout or contact us!

If you need an item more quickly, we have an option at checkout to upgrade your shipping. We love FedEx, and we think they do a great job with tracking updates and insurance. If you need something even faster (ie: you forgot your anniversary and its tomorrow), shoot us an etsy convo, and we can get you a custom quote for overnight shipping.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS:
So you like our stuff, but you live really really far away? That's ok, we love to ship outside of the USA! Most items that are shipped outside of the United States go through FedEx bulk international mail. That means the item leaves the USA, goes to Sweden, and is dispatched from the hub that FedEx uses in Sweden. FedEx dispatches the item through your customs, and your local mail will deliver the item. This takes a while, approximately 6-14 business days (not guaranteed, because sometimes things do get extra backed up at borders.) Tracking is provided, but can be spotty and becomes up to your local mail service to update. There are so many countries in this giant world, and they all have different mail services and processes - that is why tracking can be spotty and we cannot guarantee or be held responsible for shipping times on this system.

Upgrades to guaranteed, more trackable shipping are available though!
If you need it a little faster, we can make it happen - there are options through FedEx to ship (5 day guaranteed mail, some even faster). Because these are more expensive and based on your location, please contact us for more info on insured and guaranteed shipping. We can make it happen for you, but we need to chat first!

VAT taxes, and all import taxes are up to you. We don't currently have a way to pay those for you, and we cannot be held responsible or refund an item that is taxed by your country when the item arrives.


Payments

Change your mind? Need to cancel your order? Please let us know within 1 business day of ordering to ensure that we have not begun to handcraft your custom item! No need to cancel over an address change, just hit us up and can put a new address on your order!


Returns & exchanges

Oh no! Something went wrong?

We are here to help. We can exchange or refund any non-custom item for a small restocking fee of 10% (that means it does not have any custom text on it).

This covers things like:
1) you bought a gift for your partner and broke up before it arrived!
2) you tried to buy a bag for someone else and turns out they need a way smaller/bigger bag
3) situations that are not our fault or yours

Just make sure you contact us within 15 days of receiving the item. The item will need to be sent back to us in great condition, equal to the way it was when it arrived. Refunds cannot be processed until items are back in our hands, safe and sound.

Is this something we did wrong?

We think we are pretty good at our jobs, but every once in a while we make a mistake. Did we spell something wrong on your custom text? (whoops!) Did we send you the wrong item? It happens, and we are going to fix it, don't worry. Just contact us, let us know what is going on, and we will make it right (no restocking fee on our mistakes, and we will get you a prepaid shipping label for your return). Stay calm, In Blue has your back and wants you to get an awesome item.

Sending back a bag? Please carefully package the return - tuck those straps into the bag, and make sure that when we get it we can re-gift it to our moms (they love our bags!)


Additional policies

Hey guys - we want to talk about our leather. It is top-grain, eco-friendly tanned, and second source. This is best and most humane way for us go about making leather goods. This also means that there is minimal processing done on the leather. It is distressed. It is that way because we don't want to add a plastic top coat to the leather - we want to see the life of the animal on the item we make. That means there are scratches, tick bites, cowfight bites, brands and any number of cool discrepancies that make your item unique and one of a kind.

We cannot take back an item because it has a mark on it, that is what makes it neat. If you are looking for a mono-tone and super clean finish on the leather, we are not the leather workers for you - each hide we use has a slightly different tone because each cow is different. Some hides are darker than others, some are brighter, and we think things are better this way.

Your computer screen is also different than ours! Colors look different on different screens and throughout our shop (different hides, different sunlight, etc). If you are really worried about the exact tone in the leather, hit us up for swatches, we will make it happen!
