Item details

Each grab bag contains 9-11 oz of hand dyed yarn. Each bag will have at least 5 different yarns [could include rayon, cotton, nylon, bamboo, wool, or mohair] and 5 different colors. Approximately 1000+ yds total. Yarns are usually fingering to sport weight. May contain bulky or stranded yarns. Some skeins have been wound into balls already.

TWO color choices: Cool [first 2 photos] and Warm [second two photos]. Actual grab bags will vary and do not exactly match the yarns in the photos. No returns accepted on grab bags.

The price of the grab bag is approximately 30-60% off the regular retail price of the yarn.

Hand-dyed yarns should be washed in cold water. Bright or dark colors may bleed. Avoid using any hand dyed yarn in a project where bleeding would cause problems.

FAQs

I do not do custom dyeing on your fiber. Dyeing is very careful and fussy work and I'd hate for something to go wrong on your project.

It's OK. You're not the first person to be confused when confronted with a skein instead of a ball. The trick with all yarns, especially slippery or fine yarns, is to keep the skein held firmly with no sagging while you wind into a ball. You can use your knees, a couple of chairs, a friend's hands, a swift [special tool for just this purpose!]. Take your time, don't rush it and if you feel it getting out of control - stop, breathe, and arrange your skein better. You'll be an expert in no time at all.

My handwovens are one of a kind. I often use 20 different yarns in a project. Hand-dyed things cannot be replicated. I have given the measurements for each item and you are welcome to contact me to see if the fabric will stretch an extra inch or so when worn, but I cannot make another one 'just like that one' but 2 inches wider.

Yarn/handwovens: Hand wash in cold water. Lay flat to dry. Wooden spindles: Dust occasionally and polish with your favorite furniture polish.

I no longer to wholesale or quantity discounts. However, I do offer free shipping on any order over $200 not including sales tax [Indiana]. Feel free to contact me with questions.

Robin has done it AGAIN! Opening these grab bags is like being under the tree at Christmas. This time I ordered the Earthy Warm package and Robin has made it so easy to create something wonderful with everything in the package. Robin's handyed fiber selection is expanding my stash and also my experience with different yarns. While I am knitting impaired (its a disaster really) these yarns can easily be crochet and/or woven. nMs. Robin is so very easy to work with and she really wants her customers to be happy with their purchases. I WILL be back for another grab bag, but I have to decide which cool colorway I'm getting first. (sigh) nIf you're thinking about purchasing one of these, better get yours before I do. :)

Woo-Hoo! It came in the mail today and I unpacked it with anticipation and glee. I trusted Robin to pick out fibers and colors that she would believe that I would like and she didn't miss. I can't wait to get another version of the grab bag and create something beautiful.
