This pattern shows you how to knit a basket with thick cotton rope, where to get the materials, and how to alter the dimensions to make baskets in different sizes and shapes. The large basket is approximately 13 inches in diameter and 12 inches tall.
The pattern comes as a PDF file, which should become available to download as soon as your payment clears.
This is not the actual knit basket! If you are interested in purchasing a finished knit basket, check out my other listings for finished items.
Difficulty: Easy. The pattern uses a basic garter stitch. And because the rope is so thick, you only need a few stitches per row!
Cost: The rope required to knit a large basket costs around $35. The size 36 circular knitting needle can cost anywhere from $10-$25. Of course you can always use the pattern as a starting point and substitute your own materials.
This pattern is now available as a kit!
