Welcome to Traditions Fiber Arts.

I am an Ashford dealer, raise colored angora goats, rescue horses, and am addicted to anything related to fiber arts.

Ashford now has several carders to choose from, depending on your needs and they type of batt you want to produce.

This listing is for the standard drum carder which has a carding width of 20cm or 8 inches. It will card 50 gram (2 oz) batts. This listingis for the carder with the fine (72 PPSI carding cloth) which I find very versatile for carding most fibers.
The carder has two carding ratios for more flexibility. The carding ratio of 4:1 is for creative blending of slivers and the 6:1 ratio is for smooth, controlled carding of fleeces.
It has adjustable drums to suit all fibers. It includes the packer and cleaning.
The carder is lacquered and assembled.
