Lady's Victorian Gothic Tunisian Tricot Crocheted Shoulder Cape Pattern

Dakota Prairie Treasures Single Pattern Republication™

Originally Published 1867!

Another marvelous Dakota Prairie Treasures Single Pattern Republication™ for an Authentic Victorian Lady's Tricot Crocheted Pelerine Cape Pattern! What could be more darling for historical reenactment than this?

This Authentic Victorian Tricot Crochet Shoulder Cape Pattern has not been available for over 146 years! But now you can recreate it to have a truly one-of-a-kind clothing accessory!

This darling cape is fastened at the throat with tasseled cords and deeply fringed! The original model was made using black, white and mixed yarns but, of course, you can choose whatever color palette you most delight in. Pretty for you, pretty for gifts and pretty for posterity!

This item is a great resource for those who are Civil War, Antebellum, Victorian and Dickens historical reenactment enthusiasts, stage and theatre costumers, students of historical clothing, fiber and textile arts, etc!

Perfect for the girl with the remarkable sense of style!

Wear to school, work, clubbing dates, proms, weddings and more!

Included will be which current yarns and needle equivalents to use that are most similar to that which the Victorian ladies used. Also included will be both written instructions and pictorial images on how to make the not-currently-well-know tricot stitch. It actually is no more difficult than the more common stitches we are accustomed to today but very distinctly unique in appearance! Not your typical needle working result and sure to be admired, coveted and questioned after by many.

The ladies of earlier times put their hands to such marvelous work and now you can too! This is a beautiful item and sure to delight you and yours! The instructions are very clear and easy to follow and yet the experience needle worker will be capable of altering as per individual needs and artistic whim.

The antique and vintage yarns, threads, ribbons, beads, hooks, etc., can be found online quite readily. You just have to hunt a little! Or, of course, you can utilize contemporary tools and materials found at a nearby fabric, craft or hobby store…

Thank you my wonderful customers!

Just an FYI that I'll have go on vacation mode due to upcoming surgery on my eyes. :p No fun but no choice anymore.

Surgery date is February 9th, 2016 and I most likely will start the vacation mode a few days earlier. My Ophthalmologist tells me 4 weeks but if I can I'll open up sooner (I'm kinda like that, wanting to be able to pay the doctor bills means pushing myself as much as I can).

Thank you for understanding and best regards,
