Fun crochet pattern! Build-A-Diagonal-Shell baby blanket/afghan is SECOND in a SERIES of new baby blankets designed specifically for new baby OR baby photography props!
This beautiful blanket/afghan is created by using the DIAGONAL SHELL STITCH and a lovely Picot Stitch border. All instructions are included for crocheting a fun, but unusual crochet stitch pattern. The pattern creates a gorgeous texture that will be equally functional for a new baby & beautiful for a photo prop! Diagonal Stitch pattern is fun to crochet and quick to make!
This pattern is listed as an INTERMEDIATE pattern ONLY because the diagonal shell is not a common stitch pattern. Once you learn how to do it, though, this blanket is very easy to complete and is fun to crochet!
Sample afghan measures 22 inches X 25-1/4 inches, which is a PERFECT SIZE to swaddle baby for warmth and comfort, use in the car seat or stroller or it makes a wonderful prop for photographers!
This pattern also works up quickly for last minute baby shower gifts!
You must be familiar with basic crochet stitches and techniques.
My instructions are very well written and very easy to follow!
