Some pieces may need to be joined before cutting fabric. All pieces are clearly marked.
Sized to an AG doll measuring 11" at the chest and 10 3/8" at the waist.
Taken right form the pages of history, this pattern features a basic dress with 3 different variations. The versatility of the pattern pieces will give you multiple options when making your dresses. All dresses have the era style narrow width skirt, 3/4 length sleeves and high collar.
Dress 1 has a contoured 2 piece front bodice with the upper bodice cut from lace. The waistline is near the naval area. The bodice gathers slightly in the front. Sleeves are a 3/4 length and have a beautiful set of 10 tiny horizontal pleats. The dress skirt has 2 darts in the front. It can be trimmed with lace or braid. The dress is finished around the waist with a satin waist belt.
Dress 2 has a horizontal, straight cut upper front lace bodice. Sleeves are cut from lace and have a sleeve band just below the elbow area. The bodice has a lace collar band. The waist belt is covered with lace and is cut in a double diamond style at the center front. You can add trim or lace to the skirt.
Dress 3 has a one piece front bodice and 3/4 length cloth sleeves with sleeve bands. The lower skirt is trimmed with both lace and braid. The waist belt is narrow and straight across top and lower sides. It has a snap closure and decorative button on the side of the front.
All dresses close with hook and loop fastener but you could substitute buttonholes, buttons or snaps.
Included with the dress patterns are 2 Jabot patterns from the 1907 period. These were customarily worn over the collar band to change the look for the evening. Typically they were basted to the band to keep it in place.
One jabot is made with lace in 3 horizontal rows attached to a jabot center and collar band.
The other jabot replicates a style with a ruffle attached to the jabot center and trimmed with lace.
Both jabot collars close with a metal snap.
