Item details

This is an original cross stitch design that reminds us to slow down!!

The saying reads - Cleaning and scrubbing can wait till tomorrow... For babies grow up we've learned to our sorrow...So quiet down cobwebs...dust go to sleep...I'm rocking my baby and babies don't keep.

I love this sweet and simple saying. It brings back visions of when my children were small and that quiet time spent rocking them and feeding them and caring for their needs. It helps to remind us of what is truly important in life. We need to take time for the important things and babies and children are at the top of the list!! We need to learn to not let life pressure us for there is always tomorrow and as the poem says babies don't keep. I know this to be true as my baby turns 14 this year!! My how the time has flown.

As you can see the colors in this picture are playfully bright and colorful. This pattern comes as a pdf file and included in that file are a full color instruction sheet, a color picture and a full color cross stitch chart using DMC floss. This is a simple but elegant design that works well for a beginner or an experienced cross stitcher. I also have cross stitch helps and tips on my blog at

I have been cross stitching for 30 years and have loved every minute of it. This is one needleart that I have never grown tired of.

So come enjoy the world of counted cross stitch with this original design from Lady Robins Nest!!

The finished design size is 8-1/4" x 8-1/2"
