The exquisite detail on this rubber stamp was inspired by Scottish Highland targe shields
The targe shield was carried by Scottish Highlanders from the early 17th century as a main means of defense. After their defeat of the Battle of Culloden, carrying the targe was banned and many were destroyed. Modern day reproductions are used by Scottish reenactors in various patterns.
This is a brand new, top quality maplewood-mounted rubber stamp, indented on the sides to give a firm grip. The premium red rubber is designed for years of stamping enjoyment.
