Sangar is a straightforward hat with no shaping. You work the brim of Howar first then pick up for the crown. Twigness is a ‘typical’ walking hat which can be pulled down over the ears for real warmth!

North Ronaldsay aran weight wool or other aran weight yarn in the following amounts:
60 (75, 90) g / 120 (150, 180) yds
50 (60, 75) g / 100 (120, 150) yds
70 (85, 100) g / 140, 170, 200) yds
For any hat:
Two 6 mm (US 10) needles
cable needle
tapestry needle

To fit toddler (child, adult).
All hats are very stretchy.

18 stitches and 22 rows to 4 ins over stocking stitch

Wow it knits so quickly and is very comfy. 4 stars because the largest size is really not bog enough for a male and so i needed to enlarge for my menfolk
