This is my take on an UMBRELLA Craft. The project would be appropriate for young crafters 5+ or those with manual dexterity and the ability to safely use brads.
This unusual craft is about 9" tall and uses precut gloss finish cardstock, for a wet and shiny look. Like most of my kits, the craft assembles completely without using scissors, glue or paint. When hung from the ribbon, the brads allow the body, legs and boots to swing freely, and the accordian-fold "rain" gives the craft dimension. It is a unique and satisfying project and creative fun for a rainy day. It would also work well as an alphabet craft - U for umbrella or R for Rain, or maybe S for Spring!
I'll include directions, a book suggestion and a coloring page, for a complete craft event.
I'm always thinking of and designing new crafts for the youngest of crafters, that are realistic in appearance. I change things often, so please come back soon. I'm happy to hear any questions, suggestions, or comments on my craft kits.
