If you can knit and purl, you can make this blanket!
The cozy, quilted texture of this pattern is perfect for a preemie blanket, however, directions for making a larger blanket are also included.
You can use any worsted weight yarn for this pattern. I used one skein of Ella Rae Amity Prints yarn for the preemie size--super soft and self-striping (the "4 Ss!") With 200 yards of worsted weight yarn per skein, I had plenty left over to start a second blanket or make a hat.
The blanket pictured has been donated to charity.
Finished size for preemie: 15 inches x 15 inches
Gauge: 4 stitches per inch
200 yds. (or less) worsted or aran weight yarn
#8 needles (or size to get gauge)
Stitch markers if desired
