***********************************************************************************
Please note, most Scottish surnames do NOT have their own tartan. Please read through the list of names below to see what names are available. If your name is not listed, you can contact me before placing an order and I will research (free) what tartan is appropriate for your surname.
***********************************************************************************

I have literally hundreds of authentic Scottish tartans charted for cross stitch.

When you order, just put in the surname for the tartan you want in the "Note from Buyer".

You will receive your chart via email. Included will be a color .gif and the actual chart with color key in .pdf format. This means No Shipping Charges!

The chart will be for your surname's tartan in the shape of a Celtic knot. Stitch count will be 349w x 170h.

Pattern(s) are for personal use only and may not be sold, shared, or distributed in any way.

Sample image shown uses the MacAulay, hunting tartan.

Here are the names that I have available. A (D) after the name indicates the Dress tartan is available, an (H) means the Hunting tartan, an (M) means the Mourning tartan.

If your surname is not listed, your name might not have its own tartan (most names don't). If you have any questions, you can use the Contact the Shop Owner link below.

FAQs

Usually within 1-2 business days. This does not include Sat. and Sun. So if you order on a Friday, you may receive it as late as the following Tuesday. Please keep in mind time zone differences!

No. Each chart is created individually for each customer. Chart will be sent via email to you within 1-2 business days.

First, check your spam/junk mail folder. If it is not there, please make sure that your email address that you use on Etsy is the correct address. If you still haven't received it or can't find it, send an email to: MilkLass@hotmail.com with your order number and I'll get it sent to you as quickly as possible.

The largest one, behind the Xed Stitches text, is an unidentified tartan. The other 3 are from the left: Anderson, Campbell, and Stewart mourning.

No. Both "ancient" and "modern" refer only to the shades of the colors used. "Ancient" is misleading in that it is newer than so-called "modern" tartans. The shades that I use are as close as possible to what is indicated in the official pattern for each tartan.
