There are any number of crocheted octopus patterns in the world, but I couldn't find the right one. So, this creature was born. My instructions will help you create one (or many) for yourself!
The mantle and arms are arranged in a way that more closely resembles real octopodes. There are instructions for different arm types to mix and match, which means each octopus has its own personality. Make yours just how you like it!
Chunky weight yarn, size g hook for the head and j hook for the mantle/arms for more drapey-ness. Thicker, lofty (fluffy) yarn is better (the orange octopus is soft merino wool) and creates more dimensional octo-parts. The pattern has step-by-step instructions and lots of pictures.
