over 4 yards feedsack material in 3 colorways, raspberry pink, banana creme and turquoise with a small overall tossed design in black
each of three pieces is: 25" wide by 1 yard 25 - almost 2 yards 64 x 155 cm width was typical feedsack size
FRESHLY HAND DYED - wash fast, preshrunk, sized and ready to sew. This had been sewn into a pillowcase, I picked out the seams, selvedges are intact.
latter half of 19th century, these small novelty prints "neats" cost about 8 cents a yard! With further research it seems this particular feedsack pattern was used for "half mourning", a relief from the black, and also more practical because the brown and gray colors and allover patterns were practical for farm work.
Now in color because, well, 100 years of mourning is ENUF!
