Item details

This listing is for jewellery makers who not only make beautiful jewellery for themselves but who also sell their work. Maybe you need some unique beads to add to your range of jewellery or simply need hand crafted contemporary African beads to finish a an affordable price of course!!

This listing is for 10 strands of approximately 15cm (6 inches) handmade ceramic beads and is a randomly selected assortment from our Earth Butter Beads range. You will not necessarily receive the beads pictured here but will receive beads in various designs and colours. Allow us to surprise you!

Earthbutter Beads are hand rolled by a group of young women from a rural community near Cape Town, South Africa. I design, glaze and fire the beads in my pottery studio.

Bead sizes vary and can be from 10 - 25mm hole to hole with stringing holes of approximately 2 - 2.5mm.

Metric Conversion:
25mm = 1 inch
19mm = approx. ¾ inch
12mm = approx. ½ inch

Each bead is a small work of art and no two beads are exactly the same size or shape. We fire our beads to 1 100 degrees Celsius (2 012 Fahrenheit) making them strong and durable.
