Someone clever with a Dremel could trim this up and create a new piece of jewelry. It would make an incredible non-rocking pendent if done right. It wouldn't be hard to wire wrap a band to make another ring, either. I think it was originally outfitted with one of those adjustable jobs — you know, fixed soldered point on one side and unattached on the other to be adjusted as needed. There are no signatures on this remnant, but it has all the characteristics of a Florenza. It is huge. The stone itself measures 13mm x 17mm. The setting without the partial shanks measures 20mm x 24mm. As a ring it will sit on your hand a whopping 1/2" high! Plating is good with a matte brushed finish. The stone is beautiful and clear. It is clean and ready to go. I found this in the "Great East Texas Jewelry Hoard." Lastly, if you'd like me to do a wire wrapped band I am happy to do so to the size you desire.
