For sale a wonderful and unique toggle clasp by artist, Kate McKinnon. I have read on her blog that she has sold her kiln, so she won't be making PMC toggles. I bought this toggle years ago from Kate and I have never used it. It is made from PMC, which is precious metal clay or fine silver.
Is a oval shaped with a flat back, with toggle measures 1 1/2" long, without toggle the oval clasp is 1 3/16" long and is 1 1/16" wide. Weighs 8.4 grams.
Here is information on PMC: "Precious Metal Clay (PMC) is made from microscopic fine silver particles, a non-toxic organic binder and water. It is worked like clay then fired in a kiln. During this process, the water evaporates, the organic binder burns off and the heat fuses the particles together resulting in a piece of pure silver."
