Lot of 250 of beautifully printed in Italy on high-quality cream card stock, this collection of gorgeous reproduction botanicals of Carnations and roses is elegant and useful. Photo #2 is by J. Edwards (1742-1815) English botanist, painter, designer and illustrator. Photo #4 and #5 are attributed to Basilus Besler (1561-1629) of Nuremberg, apothecary, chemist, healer, and botanist. Besler was commissioned by Bishop Johann Konrad von Gemmingen to create engravings of all the flowers in his garden. As a result, Besler spent 16 years depicting each of 1084 varieties of flowers as they bloomed throughout the seasons in 367 coloured plates. The other two illustrations are unattributed.

Originally printed for framing By Rose Selavy, these beautiful cards are 4"x6" Perfect for decoupage, framing for home decor, crafting, these cards will delight. Back of cards is blank - can be used for notes or as postcards.
