SAFETY EYES are now available in my store! Check out my other listings to see all the sizes available.

NOTE: If you live in the EU, you are responsible for any VAT which may be due. Etsy is currently working on a solution to integrate the VAT to be charged upon purchase, but until that time, please be aware that you are responsible for any VAT for electronically delivered goods from Jan 1, 2015 until further notice.

My Sweet "Buddy" the Turtle works up into a large plushie, his shell is approximately 8+" across! Using your favorite worsted weight yarn, the color options are unlimited of what you can create. The boy version has a beanie propeller hat, and the girl version has a pretty little hat with flower, and a necklace with flower pendant. Uses safety eyes, but if you are going to let a small child play with your creation, please consider embroidering the pupils vs. the safety eyes. I have included the optional embroidered eyes instructions in the PDF.

I have included many, many photos to help walk you through this pattern. Pattern uses basic crochet skills, i.e. single crochet, half-double crochet, slipstitch, and double crochet. You need to know how to crochet in-the-round with increases / decreases for this pattern. Written in english crochet terms.

This precious little guy came to be during my quest to make a cute amigurumi turtle for a friend that lost her beloved pet turtle. Lots of late nights, and loads of yarn scraps later, he was just what I was looking for!

If any instructions are confusing, just convo me, I am here to help.

The cute "Small Rosette" pattern is graciously on loan from a fellow etsy member and crochet artist, Jenn Ozkan -- used with permission for this little cutie, you can check out her shop at JennOzkan.etsy.com.

This pattern took many experimental hours to create, so here's the legal mumbo jumbo:
