Item details

This is a listing for beautiful New Zealand fibers dyed in these lovely hues . Punakaiki, the home of the pancake rocks is an amazing place, rocks stacked like pancakes in grey and brown eroded by the Wild West coast sea, bordered by lush rainforest and blue sky. This colour way is inspired by this place.
The first pic is in polwarth silk.

So gorgeous!! I'm so excited to spin with it and can't wait to knit with it!

I purchased two of these beautiful braids. The dyeing is lovely and the fiber is so soft. I'm looking forward to spinning these. I have to say the postal systems really did an amazing job at getting this package to me quickly.

Hi I ship as soon as I can,as soon as payment has cleared.I have a little boy so it can sometimes take a couple of days. If you want something urgently let me know, otherwise it will take a week to 10 days.i will always notify you if there is a delay , but most of my parcels arrive in about a week to ten days.If you have any concerns about a parcel please let me know.

Please be aware of your own countries import rules as I am not liable for additional customs charges, nor can I understate the value of the parcel for customs purposes.

Shipping is capped at $12nzd , which means that no matter how much you order you will not pay more than $12nzd per order. Due to frequent increases in postal prices I regrettably have had to increase this cost to $12, but it still represents a great saving for multiple orders.

Custom orders must be paid for in advance.

Returns & exchanges

If you are not completely happy simply let me know, return your purchase and I will refund you on receipt minus return postage.

Additional policies

I am always happy to make custom orders.
Customer satisfaction is my priority.
All items are made in a smoke free environment.

A note about 'white bits' .
Each roving goes through my hands about 5 times in different parts of the process. I do my utmost to avoid light spots or white bits where they are unintentional, as this is a hand made product however occasionally they do occur. I usually make my rovings a bit overweight so if you desire and you do find a white bit please just pluck it out. You don't have to use it! Sometimes though they are intentionally there to lighten the colour as you spin.

POSSUM FIBER
Possum may not be for everyone but is an ecological luxury fiber. I am completely against farming animals for fur and was a vegetarian when I arrived in New Zealand, therefore was initially a bit dubious about possum. However, the possum here was an inroduced species which now numbers about 17 per person.Omnivorous,it crunches through our rainforest and endangers native birds such as the rare kiwi. The fiber is a useful way to utilise rather than just completely waste the by-products of harvesting the possum. The possums are NOT farmed for their fur, they are harvested from the wild.
It is not an endangered or protected species therefore there should be no problem importing it.I have checked with our customs that it is so,but it may be worthwhile checking your countries import restrictions.
