Shetland wool is in demand for handmade textiles because of its variety of natural colours and adaptable quality. The wool is fine, soft and silky to the touch with a good, bulky down characteristic approx 31mic 80mm in length. Perfect for hand felting, hand spinning and many other craft uses.
Handwash at 30.c only.
For your information: A top is a continuous length of combed wool. This wool is commercially carded and then combed on a machine to create a long sliver of wool, and then commercially dyed to iso2 specifications. Microns are the fibre diameter in thousandths of mm measurements. ie. 23mic is finer than 24mic.
We stock a range of 12 colours in Shetland. You can find these in our shop, along with mixed bags for variation of colours. We also stock needle felting and wet felting kits with 'easy to follow' instructions.

We have taken a great deal of care in photographing our items to obtain the best possible colour match. However, due to differences in monitor settings, the colour seen on your screen may not be exactly the same colour as the wool.
