Item details

This digital cross stitch chart of a poppy is inspired by 15th century medieval herbals. At 52 X 82 stitches, it fits in a 4 X 6 inch frame when stitched at 14 stitches per inch.

The name of the flower is charted in both Latin and English: choose the one you prefer.

The chart uses fractional stitches, full cross stitch and back stitch, so it's easier to stitch on an evenweave or linen fabric than on aida.

This is an instant download of a PDF chart. You will need a pdf reader, such as Adobe Reader, to view and print it.

If you would like a printed version of this chart, the listing can be found here:

This is part of my backlist of charts that I created in the 1990s. My distributor no longer carries them to shops, but I suspect there are still a lot of medieval/fantasy enthusiasts out here who would like to stitch them!

This listing is JUST for the PDF chart. A kit can be created if you prefer, containing fabric, thread, needle and printed chart. Convo me for information and pricing.

Additional policies

Please Note - The house and studio are non-smoking, but pet-loving. We live with cats, and dogs visit regularly. If you have allergies, please take this into account when you place your order. Dander and fur floats and gets everywhere, no matter how much care is taken.

Care and Feeding of Jewelry and textile pieces - I'll send a care and feeding card with each piece, but please be aware that especially with beads and sequins, water and dry cleaning fluids can strip color from them and weaken threads and wires used to connect pieces.

So generally speaking, don't dry-clean textiles with beads or sequins, and don't soak your jewelry (don't take showers with it on, and if you get caught in a REALLY bad rainstorm, it might be prudent to stash it deep within your pocket or purse to keep it from getting soaked).
