I teach costume design and construction and have a passion for all things vintage! This is a hand drawn pattern for a simple, 1950s-inspired circle skirt with slim waistband and back zip fastening. The pattern can be easily adapted to suit your needs- why not make one with an appliqué Scotty dog on the hem, wear with bobby socks, a twin-set and net petticoat for a rockabilly event?! You can shorten it to make a skater skirt or give it a modern twist in a bold check or stripe.
Designed and pattern-drafted by me with detailed instructions and photographs for each stage.
You will be able to download 2 PDF documents when you check-out. There is a total of 18 pattern pages to print and 9 instruction pages. You will need to tile the pattern pages and tape them together (instructions included).
Sizes UK 8-22
For actual waist measurements, see 4th photo.
(Please note the skirt is worn over a net petticoat in the main photo.)
