Olivia was spun from a natural colored Romney fleece I purchased at the Southeastern Animal Fiber Fair this past October. The sheep was named Olivia and it seemed to fit this yarn perfectly. After I washed and picked the locks I plied it with a hand dyed rayon slub yarn to add a touch of color and texture.
My fibers are sourced directly from the farm whenever possible. Supporting farmers and artisans is extremely important to me as well as the humane care of the animals that produce these gorgeous fibers. I work in my home studio that also has a dog and angora bunny for company.
