Additional policies

Usage Policies for Crafty Carnival Patterns

This policy is for ALL Crafty Carnival patterns, both paid and free regardless of what it says on the bottom of the pattern. This policy shall serve as the updated usage policy.

You may make as many items from Crafty Carnival patterns as you can physically make yourself. Please do not mass produce the items you make from my patterns.

You may sell the items you make from Crafty Carnival in quantities of 10 or less at a time. In other words, no more than 10 Crafty Carnival monsters in your craft booth or etsy shop at a time. But you can have 10 monsters, 10 Super G dolls, and 10 Lazy Daisy dolls!

If you decide to sell the things you make from Crafty Carnival patterns, I would appreciate it if you would reference http://craftycarnival.com as the pattern designer. Even if you change the face, or the hair color, or alter the clothing, I am still the pattern designer and would appreciate a link back.

I love to share links! If you are a seller or maker of Crafty Carnival creations, and you would like to have a featured link on my blog, you can!! I get anywhere from 15-30 thousand hits per month on my blog, depending on the season, and how active I have been as the author. But even on slow months when I’m not posting a lot, I still get a lot of readers coming to my blog to search the archives for crafty inspirations!

On the side bar of my blog is a list called Crafty Carnival Creators. If you would like a link back to your shop on my blog roll, you must be selling items made by Crafty Carnival Patterns, and have a link back to my blog, at least once during the month. You aren’t required to have your shop stocked with a Crafty Carnival item at all times, just have at least one listing per month of a Crafty Carnival creation with a link back!

I have decided to charge a small fee for being on my blog roll to offset the costs of my blogging. Many blogs charge $20-$40/month for advertising, and I get as many hits as many of those blogs get. I want the crafter’s who make things with my patterns to make a few extra bucks for themselves and for their handiwork, and so in order for this to be profitable for the Crafty Carnival Creators, I know I need to keep my prices on both patterns and advertising low.

The prices of my patterns will remain at $5-$10 for e-patterns, and you can now sell the creations you make from them!! The price for having a link to your shop on my blog roll will be $8/month, or 2 months for $10. The blog roll will remain in alphabetical order for the duration, and each time I post a new entry on my blog, I will randomly pick a shop from my blog roll to link back to and “feature.” This is in addition to the live link you will have on my blog roll.

If you would like to get started, please email me at missyballlance@aol.com with your name and a link back to your shop! Any questions? Feel free to send me an email! I’m always excited to hear from you!

Sincerely, Missy Balance, Crafty Carnival
