These are magnificent imitation glass jewels that won't fool the experts but they are big and sparkly. Depending on how the light hits, they radiate shades of orange, amber and smoked topaz. Originally from Austria, these date back to the 1950's or before. The box is marked seconds, meaning that though the glass is premium Austrian crystal, the interior of the glass (not the surface) has flaws. Highly polished with facets and a soft foiled pointback, this jewel wants to reflect everything in sight. And the very low discounted price reflects the less-than-perfect quality. I have often pressed these into epoxy clay or pmc clay for superior results.
