To help you decide which size to knit, I found this information in a very old baby pattern book; it provides a guideline re: weight/age/chest measurement: AGE CHEST/Pat. Size Weight Premature 12/14 ins up to 4.5lbs Birth 16/17 ins 7.5lbs 3 months 18 ins 11.5lbs 6 months 19ins 16lbs 9 months 19.5 ins 18lbs 12 months 20 ins 20 lbs 18 months 21 ins 24 months 22 ins

Patter available immediately and I've almost finished knitting.
I love the design - except the way the straps and button holes are placed. The person I am making it for is concerned that the baby will by lying on the dungaree buttons as they are placed on the straps and button through the back.
I am at the point of sewing up the dungarees but have decided to pull back the straps and place the button holes on the front and cast off. I shall pull back "the back" to the point the button holes are made and knit without them and knit straps from the back.
I knitted the smallest size but scarcely have enough wool for the straps at the shortest length they could be. I did get 2 x 50g balls of wool and have knitted at the correct tension.
Apart from that ALL IS GREAT! I haven't knitted the jumper.
