The curving, natural forms of the Art Nouveau style was my influence in designing this jewelry set of necklace with matching bracelet and earrings. To create these undulating curves in tatting, I used 2 shuttles and reversed direction of the chains frequently. The level of pattern difficulty has been set to "advanced" and although this is definitely not a beginner's pattern, it would be an enjoyable challenge for someone already comfortable with basic tatting skills and working with 2 shuttles. There are many in-progress photos to help with unusual techniques.
The 11 page file includes:
*Written instructions in English for matching necklace, bracelet, and earrings
*List of supplies needed,
*Diagrams with stitch counts written on them.
Techniques used include: ring, chain, join, lock join, mock ring, floating ring, bead inside of ring, split ring. This pattern is designed for shuttle tatting with a tight tension in order for the stitches and beads to fit together snugly, and may not be suitable for needle tatting or loosely tensioned tatting. By the way, if you're looking for a way to learn tatting I teach a Shuttle Tatting course online at Craftsy.com
PLEASE NOTE: You are purchasing the pattern only. The design copyright remains with me.
