Featured in Autumn 2013 Belle Armoire Jewelry! This is the heart the project shown in that magazine uses. Stoneware clay shaped like a heart. These are molded in my handmade molds and followed with hand shaping, so they are each really one of a kind. After the first firing, they are painted with different underglazes, which are partly wiped off, and then fired again. They do not have (shiny) glazes, just the colored underglaze. Each one is different.
These are not glazed at all, and are a little roughly textured. If you wish them to have more of a shiny finish, they can be sprayed with a clear finish, as you would a gourd or wood, or used as-is. They can also be colored with acrylic paint - dab or brush on, as much as you want, and then wipe off while still damp. Let dry and spray with clear.
approx. 1 1/4" tall, varying widths
YOU GET ONE HEART FOR THIS PRICE. Multiples pieces may be available, please see the quantity, above right. If you wish to have a particular color underglaze, like grey or rust, or white, please let me know, and i will see if i have it.
