Item details

I designed this beanie for my daughter & her friends who needed a cute hat to hide their sun & sea drenched hair after a long day on the beach! They saw one of the other surfer girls on the North Shore wearing something similar and said, "Mom!!! Can you make us some of THESE?!" Of course I could. And did.

Not only is it fun to make, it's also fun to wear! It is the perfect accessory for keeping your hair tidy after a long day at the beach or even a trip to the gym.

This pattern is great for intermediate beginners and works up in a day or less. It also has lots of great pix to help you along the way! More experienced stitchers will love what a great last minute gift this is to whip up! 1 Ball of Cotton = 1 Hat and 1 Skein = Many Hats!!!

You can wear it pushed back like in the picture, but the mesh fabric is also stretchy enough to tuck all your hair inside! With an elastic hair band crocheted into the last round, it always has a snug fit and won't stretch out.
