This fiber is wearing its birthday suit! Naked, naked! WEEEE!
Weighs 4 ounces.
This Rambouillet is domestically grown in Montana. It is processed into top at the Maine Top Mill in Waldoboro, Maine. Keepin' it local, folks! :)
Rambouillet is closely related to Merino, but with slightly different characteristics. Rambouillet is a fine wool, with a staple length between 2 and 4 inches. It is bright white, lustrous, and is known for its warmth and bounce. Warmth comes from the disorganized crimp, which also adds to its elasticity. Rambouillet likes to be spun fine and will add elasticity when blended with luxury fibers. It also lends itself to felting so take care when washing finished garments. However, if you're felting with this fiber, you're going to have a ball!
