Item details

A lovely piece of pure wool fabric. This wool is so very soft to the touch. You just can't stop feeling it. It is a dream to work with whether you are a quilter or sewer or a rug hooker.. I have used this wool in a crazy quilt. Working my embroidery stitches on it was a delight.

This fabric is perfect with traditional rug hooking. It can be cut as fine as a number 3 cut.

The size of this piece of wool is a fat quarter. It is 17" wide x 26" long.

This fabric does not fray much. It would be perfect for applique work. It would also be very good for rug braiding.

. The colors are pinks and red,and blue .It is a profusion of color in a small random spotted pattern. There is so much going on in this fabric. Everywhere you look there is something different in the patterning.
There is a touch of yellow in the background and a hint of lavender. Use this fabric in big pieces or in small , either way it will work out very well.

I dye with great care and attention.

The fabric is washfast and colorfast. Wash in cool water. No need to dry clean. Whatever you make of this fabric-- a quilt or an embroidery, or whatever you like, it will give you many years of happy use. You will enjoy working with this wool fabric.

I have to say that this is a " one of a kind " piece of fabric. Each piece is hand dyed separately.

Fat quarters are actually a 1/4 of a yard of fabric. A fat quarter is made by cutting a 1/2 yard of fabric in half horizontally. Instead of getting a long narrow 1/4 yard piece of fabric, you get a
piece of fabric that is closer to a square in shape. This gives you, the sewer or quilter, lots more options in how you use the fabric.
