Item details

Use two (normal) needles and oddments of double knitting weight yarn and be as creative as you like to make these donuts that look good enough to eat.

You just need basic knitting skills, including knit, purl, increase and decrease.

I have written very clear instructions, with added images demonstrating each stage, and suggestions for alternative toppings.

For those who like to knit in the round I have now added instructions for knitting in the round with dpns.

The instructions are for a normal sized donut (3.5 inches across) or a super-sized doughnut (4 inches across).

(The main photo above shows normal sized donuts).

You could give your knitted donuts as gifts, party favours, pin cushions or just keep them for yourself.

The pattern can be download immediately after payment - you could be knitting yummy donuts within 24 hours.

This listing is for the pattern only, not the cakes shown in the pictures.

The electronic pattern is in Adobe PDF format. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader 6 or newer to view the file. You can download Adobe Acrobat for free at

You can print the pattern either in colour, or black and white.

PLEASE NOTE - This pattern is published under copyright and is for personal use. However, you may sell items from this pattern in small quantities, as long as you don't mass produce, but selling of the pattern or any part of the pattern is not allowed.

Thanks for looking in my etsy shop!!

Looks gorgeous

This pattern was very easy to follow and was incredibly well written and clear. The final product is adorable and really whimsical, especially with bugle bead sprinkles. My only qualm with this pattern is that it recommends doing garter stitch for the icing section to add texture, but doesn't include mattress stitch instructions for garter stitches. I looked it up, but my final product looked a bit puckered on one side because the mattress stitch changing from stockinette stitch to garter stitch is impossible to do smoothly. All in all, a wonderful project.
