Oatmeal colloidal powder is a must have supply for making homemade bath and beauty products. Colloidal oatmeal's hydrated fine granules adhere to the surface of the skin and provide a protective film attracting humidity and reducing friction. It has been used in Egypt since 2,000 BC for its beautifying effects. Oatmeal protein provides natural moisturizing properties and beneficial in alleviating itching due to eczema, psoriasis, shingles, chicken pox, insect bites and other minor skin irritations.
I use this just like Aveeno oatmeal bath soak and save a ton of money with bulk buying. Add 2 tablespoons for an adult size bath tub under running water while it's filling and swoosh to pamper your skin. It's 100% natural so safe enough for newborns too! Used as directed with 2 tablespoons, our 4 ounce pack is enough for 16 baths & even more for baby baths. To keep all the goodness on your skin, pat dry, don't rub. For a pamper relax bath, add a drop or two of essential or fragrance oil; soak your worries away.
Light tan powder, made in the USA. Dispersible in water; when adding to a liquid base, you may need to mix with a small amount of distilled water or carrier oil to prevent clumping. I also use oatmeal colloidal in creams and lotions at 0.5-1%, facials and milk bath at 10-50% and soap at 1-10%.
Select size option of either 4 ounces (120 grams) by weight; 1 cup (0.95 metric cup) by volume OR 8 ounces (230 grams) by weight; 2 cups (1.9 metric cups) by volume. Store at room temperature in the original zip lock bag or an air tight container. If using as a bath soak, a plastic jar is much safer than glass to keep near the tub.
